Wanaka has spectacular lake and mountain views. It is the gateway to Mount Aspiring National Park, a World Heritage area renowned for Mount Aspiring and the glaciers. Lake Wanaka is New Zealand’s fourth largest lake and has crystal clear blue waters that reflect the dramatic landscape.
Driving Times
Wanaka is just over 100km (approximately 1 hour) scenic drive from Queenstown and easily accessible from Christchurch (4.5 hours), Dunedin (3.5 hours) and the West coast (3.5 hours).

Our location is perfect to experience adventure activities such as skydiving, paragliding, canyoning and white water sledging.
In winter the local ski resorts, Treble Cone, Cardrona, Snow Park and Snow Farm are less than 40 minutes drive away.
